Thomas
My name is Thomas Stefaniak and I have been an individual investor for about 14 years. Currently, I am a financial planner in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I plan on taking my Series 7 exam shortly. Prior to this, I was the Personal Financial Management Program Manager for Maxwell/Gunter Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. In this role, I got to teach/counsel the fine men and women of the U.S. Air Force in basic money management, budgeting, home buying, investing, credit, and other financial topics. All of the topics I have always read/studied a great deal about. I also have a lot of marketing experience working for a not-for-profit based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
I consider investing one of my hobbies and something I really enjoy. Generally, I would be classified as a fundamental investor. I look for strong companies within strong markets. Sometimes, I do play with technical analysis. Investing seems to be just about the only hobby that actually makes you money instead of costing you money. For example, golf is my other hobby, and a big monthly expense in our budget goes towards green fees and golf equipment. I am honored to be part of the Investor Geeks team. Look for my articles and comments here on InvestorGeeks.com as well as in my own blog, personalfinancefun.wordpress.com.
