I was listening to Fast Money and how the entire crew is sceptical of Apple and its ability to execute, even though it did execute. So what gives, is Apple over valued? Is it a company that is not able to execute?
You have to rethink your strategy with Apple. I had a long talk with some people and we talked about Apple. Apple is not a computer company. Apple has become a new generation company.
I have been long enough in tech to know when changes are underway. For example IBM made the enterprise what it is today. Without IBM we would not be where we are. Microsoft did the same thing for the desktop as Bill Gates was the one who wanted to put a computer at everybody’s fingertip.
Apple is the smart mobile computing device company. You need to read the following article to completely comprehend what Apple is capable of.

What Apple has done is delivered to the military a device that is both useful and robust.
The iPod Touch retails for under $230, whereas a device made specifically for the military can cost far more. (The iPhone offers more functionality than the iPod Touch, but at $600 or $700 each, is much more expensive.) Typically sheathed in protective casing, iPods have proved rugged enough for military life.
Think hard about what this means. The American military has determined a device from Apple deserves to be in every soldiers hand. Keep thinking about this.
Apple gadgets are proving to be surprisingly versatile. Software developers and the U.S. Department of Defense are developing military software for iPods that enables soldiers to display aerial video from drones and have teleconferences with intelligence agents halfway across the globe. Snipers in Iraq and Afghanistan now use a "ballistics calculator" called BulletFlight, made by the Florida firm Knight’s Armament for the iPod Touch and iPhone. Army researchers are developing applications to turn an iPod into a remote control for a bomb-disposal robot (tilting the iPod steers the robot). In Sudan, American military observers are using iPods to learn the appropriate etiquette for interacting with tribal leaders.
This is mind blowing! Imagine if police, doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers, and so on and so on decided to use this device? We are talking a complete shift in how our lives will be managed!
I know myself I have the apps that I want and I constantly use the device. My iPod Touch does not stray far from my side. My wife has already said, “buy the iPhone for crying out loud! So then at least you will carry a phone…”
What do I like about the iPod Touch? The Flashlight! Yes I use my iPod Touch as a flashlight. It is crazy, but I am changing my lifestyle with this device.
This is why Apple is different, (and yes I am long Apple)…
